Tomorrow Water & ReCarbon Announce Global Partnership to Create Waste-to-Revenue Opportunities in Wastewater and Carbon Capture & Utilization

Anaheim and Santa Clara, CA USA - Tomorrow Water and ReCarbon have signed a global partnership agreement to leverage their breakthrough technologies to meet the ever-growing demand for sustainable solutions that optimize wastewater and sludge treatment and produce low-carbon, climate-positive products. Tomorrow Water’s market leading wastewater treatment and biogas production technologies paired with ReCarbon’s proprietary plasma reformation technology will provide to customer wastewater treatment plants the ability to maximize the efficiency and production of biogas and then transform the captured carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) into carbon-negative syngas for production of climate-positive fuels and chemicals.

Tomorrow Water’s market leading solutions include their advanced anaerobic digestor (AAD), Draco thermal hydrolysis process (THP), Annamox short cut ammonia removal (AMX), and Proteus physical/biofilter that efficiently treat waste streams and produce stable volumes of biogas from organics such as municipal wastewater, food stock, and livestock manure. The biogas is fed to ReCarbon’s Plasma Carbon Conversion Unit (PCCU) featuring their patented floating microwave plasma device called the Emission Blade (EB), that transforms carbon emissions into carbon-negative syngas which can be used by downstream technologies to produce climate-positive fuels and chemicals such as methanol, ethanol, hydrogen, SAF and more.

This partnership sends a strong signal to the market of the demand for integrated pathways from waste streams to the production of clean fuels and chemicals and will be a lighthouse collaboration in the carbon capture and utilization space, marking a clear pathway to a clean and better future.

Mr. EF Kim, CEO of BKT/Tomorrow Water commented, “We are excited to partner with ReCarbon together, we can provide a fully integrated process that can turn waste into valuable resources. We both believe that the fastest way to help create a truly sustainable world is to share innovative ideas and offer world class solutions by partnering with companies that share common values of trust, cooperation, and mutual desire to help our industry as a whole. Tomorrow Water is truly eager to see this partnership grow as we continue to develop additional opportunities that accelerate our mutual growth.”

Jay Kim PhD, CEO of ReCarbon remarked that, ReCarbon is looking forward to delivering transformational solutions through our partnership with Tomorrow Water. Working together, we see great potential to increase our ability to scale-up and respond quickly to a rapidly changing technological landscape. We believe that we can meet the critical emerging infrastructure needs of cities for clean energy and low-carbon products.”
