Mr. Dong-woo Kim, BKT/Tomorrow Water CEO, Awarded the Prestigeous “2024 Best Leaders of the Korean Economy”

This year, the best leaders who contributed to the development of the Korean economy were selected.
The Korea Economic Daily and the Korea Economic Magazine held the 25th '2024 Best Leaders in the Korean Economy' award ceremony at the Grand Ballroom of Eliena Hotel in Gangnam, Seoul.
The '2024 Best Leaders of the Korean Economy' is the first event of the year and is hosted by the Korea Economic Media Group and organized by the Korea Economic Magazine. It is sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Commission for Shared Growth. It is an event that presents objective and responsive standards to select leaders, companies, and organizations that will be responsible for the Korean economy. Divided into eight categories, including service, environment, social contribution, technological innovation, brand, talent training, management innovation, quality, and R&D, 25 leaders were selected who have achieved innovative achievements in each field.
The awardees were Kang Sung-hee, Chairman of Carrier Air Conditioning (Customer Satisfaction Sector), Kang Jung-koo, President of Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (Sustainability Management Sector), Ko Sang-koo, Chairman of K&K Global Trading (Innovation Management Sector), Koo Ja-kwan, Senior Representative of Samgu I&C (Job Creation Sector), Kim Kwan-young, Governor of Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province (Innovative Economic City Sector), Kim Dong-min, CEO of JLK (Medical AI Sector), Kim Dong-woo, CEO of Bugang Tech (Eco-friendly Sector), Kim Joo-bae, Chairman of Alkaus Trading (Creative Management), Kim Jung-hwan, CEO of Himpel (Customer Satisfaction Brand Sector), Kim Ho-young, CEO of CareOne (Environmental Care Service), Park Jong-beom, Chairman of Youngsan Group (Global Management), They are Baek-hyun Nonsan Mayor (Innovation Policy Division) and Chaperone CEO Seung Seung-yong (R&D Division).
They were followed by So Hyo-geun, CEO of Cullinan Holdings (Trust Management Division), Son Jung-hyun, CEO of Starbucks Korea (Customer Service), Song In-heon, Chairman of Goesan County (Public Service), Oh Won-seok, Chairman of Korea FT (Quality Management), Yoon Sang-hyun, Vice Chairman of Kolmar Korea (ESG Management), Lee Won-hee, President of Hankyung National University (Talent Development), Lee Jang-woo, Mayor of Daejeon Metropolitan City (City Brand), Chung Sook-cheon, Chairman of Totle Resources International (K-Brand), Jung Jung-mo, CEO of Korea Defense Industries (Innovative Technology), Choi Boon-do, Chairman of PTV Group (Global Logistics), Choi Cheol-man, CEO of Box Leather (Startup Division), and Hwang Byung-koo, Chairman of Chorus Orchid (Value Management).
Kim Jung-ho, President of The Korea Economic Daily, who participated in the event, said, "The winners are managers of companies and organizations that will be responsible for the global economy beyond the Korean economy," adding, "You are creating new markets and constantly creating jobs with your foresight and cool judgment to look ahead to the future ahead of others. Only by increasing the number of such leaders can we overcome the crisis that the Republic of Korea is currently facing." He added, "I hope you will take the lead in making the Republic of Korea a better country than it is now, a country where the people are happy," and added, "I would like to congratulate all of you who have been selected as the best leaders of the Korean economy in 2024."
